Questions and Answers
1) This is not my address what do I need to do?
Go to hoglundtransportation.com, click on Students then Permanent Changes and fill in the information. If this changes where your student’s bus stop location will be then we will be making those updates after registration opens on September 10th. All changes needed to be made before August 24th in order to happen on the first day of school. We will email or call when the change has been made.

3) My child has shared custody and needs to go to Mom’s house MW and every other F, Dad’s on TH and every other F. How does that work?
Your student can ride two different buses when there is shared custody. We need the information for both parents. Go to hoglundtransportation.com, click on Students then Permanent Changes and fill in the information before August 24th.
4) How far is my child allowed to walk to the bus stop?
Elementary students outside of the 1 mile walking area can walk up to .04 of a mile to the bus stop, this does not include the driveway.
Middle/High students outside of the 1 mile walking area can walk up to .06 of a mile to the bus stop, this does not include the driveway.
5) I can’t see the bus stop from my house can we move the stop?
Visibility from the home to the bus stop is not part of the criteria for establishing bus stops. Bus stops are collector points in the neighborhood.
6) I have a daycare and I can’t bring all of the kids to the bus stop, can it be moved to my house?

7) What if my child isn’t going to ride all of the time what should we do?
If your student is the only one at the stop then you can call our office when they will not be riding and we can let the driver know. If they get on at a group stop then there is no need to let us know.
8) How do we do temporary changes to go to my child’s friend’s house?
Temporary changes are for daycare changes, parents out of town or in an emergency situation only. If your student needs to ride for one of those reasons then you would go to hoglundtransportation.com, click on Students then Temporary Change and fill in the information.
9) Who is my driver? We have complained about that driver for years and we don’t want him/her.
In most cases the driver will be the same. If you are having trouble with the driver you will want to call our office and we can talk to the driver to see what is going on.
10) My child had to sit on the floor last year, did they change the route?
Students should never be sitting on the floor of the bus. If there is not an open space in a seat for them they should tell the driver. In most cases there is room for the students although they do not want to sit with the people in the open seats and choose to sit on the floor. If the bus is over the capacity of students it can carry then the driver would radio base for assistance.
11) Is it the same route?
Most routes do change every year.
12) Didn't we already receive something in the mail, why do we need this?
The information that was sent in May with the school mailing was to verify the information that Hoglund Transportation had for your family. If there is a need to update any contact phone numbers, daycare address changes, or if you have moved go to hoglundtransportation.com. Although all changes needed to be done by August 24th in order to happen by the first day of school.
If any information is incorrect on their sheet then have them go to our website and make the updates. All changes needed to be made by August 22th in order to happen by the first day of school. If the bus stop information is incorrect the parent will need to get their student to the closest stop until we have updated their information. Registration is closed August 22th and reopens on September 12th.
